Newstin has taken the lead in providing the global community with cross language, multicultural, and data classification technologies, marshalling them to build out the world’s first Global Social News Platform. Since its inception in 2005, Newstin has been leveraging these technologies to make it easier for people to acquire knowledge and communicate ideas, crossing both language and cultural barriers.

To do so, Newstin calls on its core strengths: Semantic Taxonomical Structure, Cross Language Navigation and Relevancy Weighted Source Discovery.

People

The seeds of Newstin were sown in 2005 by people working to integrate the countries of the New Europe technologically. Having made much headway in this arena, Frantisek Vrabel, Newstin’s CEO, invested the proceeds from his entrepreneurial successes, and together with Julius Rusnak as CTO set out to create Newstin, building an international team of multi-disciplinary technologists, linguists, information scientists, marketers and global thinkers.
